Styling my Kirigami Pochette

Hi everyone!  It's been a while since I've posted on this blog, but I figured I'd share some of my in-depth thoughts and/or tutorials here, especially when it comes to styling my bags with additional accessories!

I'm going to note this upfront so it's extremely clear:  All of the bags in my collection (including this Kirigami) are authentic and part of my personal collection that is not for sale--I am not a seller and do not support the buying/selling of counterfeit items.  The accessories mentioned below are sold separately and not associated with the brand.  This blog post is meant to share how I style my bags for personal use; the overall look is not associated or representing the bag brand.

Ok, back to the fun stuff :)

I've done a lot of different things to my Kirigami Pochette, but this look is definitely one of my new favorites!  More details on how I put this look together below.

Item's you'll need for this look:

-Bamboo top handle (found here)

-Bag insert (I do not recommend mine, but found this one that I think would work)

-Mini flat head screwdriver

-Two pairs of small pliers

-Small chain large enough to fit the handle's D-rings

Steps for Assembly

-The handle took a few weeks to arrive, but once it did, I knew it would be perfect for my Kirigami.

-The handle came unassembled, which was a bit of a pain, but not impossible

-The handle has two gold D-rings on the side that need to be screwed in to be secured to the bamboo part.  Something I noticed was that the loops i have for my Kirigami insert weren't long enough to loop the gold connectors through.   If your insert has long loops, you may be able to attach the gold D-rings through the loop, screw it all together, and be good to go!  If so, ignore the steps below :)

-Since my loops that I have on my insert were not long enough to reach where the gold D-rings rested on the bag, I needed to add a small chain extension.  I happened to have an old necklace with a chain large enough to fit the gold connector; however, in order to connect it, I had to pry open the chain with the pliers to connect them because the D-rings were two fat on the ends to squeeze the chain on.

-Once i connected the chain to the D-rings, I attached the other end to the insert and Voila! The bag handle works like a charm!  Note of caution--this does have the possibility of damaging the sides of your kirigami..be careful using the bag like this for extended periods of time--it can rub on the sides, and tarnish (though i've found that it comes off using a bit of a magic eraser), or worse, peel the glazing (no coming back from that). Mine hasn't peeled, but I definitely don't use this look all the time.
